An Angel for Invicta

Jonathan Henly is the new number one at Folkestone Invicta

Folkestone Invicta's squad building continued yesterday with the arrival of goalkeeper Jonathan Henly, who you will last have seen on our shores as he helped Tonbridge Angels to win the Premier Division Play Off Final and then the Super Play Off Final (let's never do that again, eh?) at the end of the 2019-19 campaign.

Jon started his career as a youth with Reading, spending loan time at Oxford United, Aldershot Town and Welling United before going from Royal to Tractor Boy, transferring to Ipswich Town. After a season at Portman Road he moved on to Hemel Hempstead Town, and also spent a period at Margate on loan, before signing for Angels - at first on loan- in March 2017. He was back as a permanent signing that summer, and went on to be an enormous success over seven years, promotion followed by a sustained spell at National League South level.
