A Dover double
Francis Mampolo and Kieran Monlouis are new arrivals at Dover Athletic
Dover Athletic had two new names in their squad as they defeated Cheshunt in the FA Trophy on Saturday, and they both emerged from the bench to play a part in that victory.
Francis Mampolo, a winger, ended last season at Premier Division promotion chasers Chatham Town, playing four times and scoring twice whilst on loan from Tonbridge Angels. Francis also spent time on a dual registration deal with Folkestone Invicta last season, playing twice, and also had a dual-reg spell with Margate, playing twice in mid January. Mainly, however, he appeared in the Blue of Angels, and made twenty four appearances. He started this season at Maldon and Tiptree in Pitching In Isthmian North, playing five times.
Midfielder Kieran Monlouis last played for Ebbsfleet United, who he joined in 2021 from our very own Horsham. He made nine appearances for the Hornets during the stopped-almost-before-it-began- 2020-21 campaign. He joined the Hornets from Dulwich Hamlet.
Monlouis spent a fair chunk of the 19-20 season on loan at Margate from Hamlet, making twelve appearances and finding the back of the net four times. He made eleven appearances for Hamlet, however, before that move to the Kent seaside. A Saint Lucia international- he made his International debut in a one-nil win over Dominican Republic- he previously played for Maldon and Tiptree, Sudbury, St Albans City, and then moved to Scotland to sign for Hamilton Academical. He moved back to England in early 2019 to sign for Hemel Hempstead Town, from where he moved to Hamlet.
