A Rayners Lane quartet
Reece Grant, Germaine Dua, Shermandin Artmeledze and Hussein Mahdi are the latest arrivals at Rayners Lane
Rayners Lane yesterday announced four new arrivals.
Germaine Dua is a central defender who spent time at AFC Hayes, Crawley Town, Arlesey Town, Farnborough, Wingate & Finchley, Chesham United, Waltham Abbey, Cambridge City, Romford, Hartley Wintney and Sutton Common Rovers- and, more recently, Beaconsfield Town.
Attacking midfielder Shermandin Artmeledze was an enormous part of Sporting Bengal United's success last season, scoring twenty two goals in thirty two appearances- and he was similarly prolific at Romford at the start of this season, managing six goals in four appearances. As well as those two sides he has played for Walthamstow, Barking and Hullbridge Sports.
Forward Hussein Mahdi moves over from Pitching In Isthmian Premier side Hashtag United, for whom he has played three times since joining in the summer. He joined the Tags from Hilltop, who play in Combined Counties Premier North. The forward has apparently scored thirty five goals in seventy four appearances for his former club- which is nearly a goal every two matches- and made thirty four appearances last season.
Another forward, Reece Grant, has played most of his career at a higher level. From an Isthmian perspective he spent a season with Heybridge Swifts early in his career, scoring twenty goals, and also had a spell with Kingstonian, but further up the pyramid he has played for Braintree Town, Maidstone United, Aldershot Town, Dover Athletic, Dagenham and Redbridge, Hemel Hempstead Town, Chelmsford City and- most recently- Welling United.
