A quartet for Hastings
Billy Vigar, Tom Howard, Callum Pollitt and Tyrese Briscoe are new at Hastings United
Hastings United announced four new signings last night- as well as promoting youngster Tyrone Mlotshwa from the Academy to the first team squad.
Billy Vigar is a forward who hails from Worthing but joins United after departing Arsenal. He played youth and Under 21 football for the Gunners, also spent time on loan at Derby County where he played for the Under 21 side, and had a successful loan spell at Eastbourne Borough in National League South.
Midfielder Tom Howard played for boss Danny Bloor as a youngster at Eastbourne Borough, and for the Sussex Under 18 side, and has more recently been completing his degree at the University of Nottingham.
Callum Pollitt, also a midfielder, was also part of the Under 18 setup at Eastbourne Borough. He has also played for Eastbourne Town and Bexhill United, making ten appearances for Town last season and another eleven for United, according to the FA website.
Tyrese Briscoe is a more familiar name. The forward ended last season on loan at Lewes from Hemel Hempstead Town, although he only got the chance to play twice, making a debut in defeat at Folkestone Invicta on Good Friday. Tyrese started his career as an Arsenal youth, before swapping North London for South London and moving to Millwall, where he played for the Under 18 and Under 21 sides before heading to the National League South Tudors last summer. He was part of the first team squad at Vauxhall Road, and scored a couple of goals. He has also had a loan spell at Berkhamsted in Pitching In Southern Premier Central, but sadly they were as good as doomed to relegation before his arrival.
