Another Bees trio

Another Bees trio

Darren Esuka, Flavio Jumo and and Josh Taylor are the latest Basildon arrivals

Basildon United announced another three new arrivals prior to their friendly against Leighton Town on Saturday.

Josh Taylor, who the Bees describe as a defender but we've also seen described as a midfielder- so we suspect he can play anywhere down the flank- joins the club after playing thirty one times for Saffron Walden Town last season. He has also played for Stanway Rovers, but North Division watchers are more likely to remember him from a brief period with Hashtag United, for whom he played twice during the 22-23 campaign. He has also turned out for Ilford and Walthamstow.

Flavio Jumo is another midfielder, who has played for the Bees before- making eleven appearances in the early stages of the 22-23 season. Prior to his time as a Bee he turned out for Barking, Witham Town and Tower Hamlets, and after departing Basildon he made nineteen appearances for Brentwood Town in the second half of the 22-23 campaign. The start of last season saw him play a couple of times for Redbridge, but he ended the campaign at Fisher, where he played seventeen times.

Darren Esuka, a forward, spent time last week with Hackney Wick in the Thurlow Nunn League. He previously played Under 18 football for the Charlton Athletic Trust, and we've seen a mention of time at Uxbridge FC but we can't seem to find any record of him there so perhaps it was brief.
