Another Welling man wings his way to Bay

Jaden Thompson-Brissett has joined his Welling United teammate Ryan Kingsford in heading to the coast, joining Herne Bay.

Jaden has only been with United for a short time- indeed, two weeks.

He was with both Aveley and, latterly, Hashtag United in our top flight last season, and started this season with Maldon and Tiptree, for whom he played nine times.

He joined Aveley in the summer of 2025, and  made thirteen appearances, before playing twenty three times- with four goals- for the Tags.

You might also remember him from his time as a Southall goal machine! He managed ten goals in twenty two appearances for The All during 22-23, and then went rather goal crazy in 23-24, managing thirty four goals in only forty five appearances as his side reached the Pitching In Isthmian South Central Play Off Semi-Final.

Those exploits earned him a move to Hampton and Richmond Borough, and he then spent the second half of the 24-25 season with Pitching In Southern Premier side Basingstoke Town.

Earlier in his career he played youth and Under 18 football with both Norwich City and Brentford, and went on to play for Chesham United, Dagenham and Redbridge and Hayes & Yeading United.
