Champions in numbers 25-26: Folkestone Invicta
We look at the Stripes triumph- in numbers
Folkestone Invicta have had a magnificent season, deserved winners of Pitching In Isthmian Premier. These are the stats that matter!
96- the number of points achieved- twelve more than runners up Aveley. Only Maldon & Tiptree and Felixstowe and Walton United got more across our League (the Seasiders only finishing second with ninety seven), with Three Bridges and Leatherhead also collecting the same number as Invicta
102- the number of goals scored, more than any other side in the Division. Only South East sides Three Bridges and AFC Whyteleafe scored more across the entire League. South Central champions Leatherhead also managed one hundred and two.
62- Invite’s positive goal difference, very much the best in the entire Division and fourteen better than second best Chatham Town. Only Maldon and Tiptree, Three Bridges and AFC Whyteleafe did better.
40- the number of goals conceded, the second best defensive record in the Division after Chatham Town. Across the League, only the Chats, Hanworth Villa, Jersey Bulls, Maldon & Tiptree and Felixstowe and Walton United conceded fewer
2- the number of times Invicta lost on their own patch- across the entire Pitching In Isthmian League only Maldon & Tiptree and Three Bridges had better home records.
2- also the number of times Invicta lost on the road- the best in the top flight and only bettered across the entire League by unbeaten travellers Leatherhead
25- the number of goals scored by Jake Hutchinson, the highest scorer in our top flight., which places him at eighth across the entire Pitching In Isthmian League. Joe Piggott’s fifteen put him in ninth on the Premier list.
1328- Invicta's average attendance, up from nine hundred and thirty seven in 2024-25. That’s the third best across the League.
2592- the number who watched Invicta defeat Ramsgate on Easter Monday.
29- the number of victories, bettered only by Leatherhead, Three Bridges, Maldon & Tiptree and Felixstowe and Walton United across the entire league
1— The highest position that Invicta have reached in Step Three, and the highest they’ve reached in their history.
4Q- Invicta reached the Fourth Qualifying Round of the FA Cup this season- the seventh time they have reached that stage. Only once- 2005-06- have they gone further.
Many congratulations to all at the club on a fine campaign. We now wait to see who joins you at Step Two- and we’d like to wish you the best of luck. In the nicest possible sense, we don’t want you to come back!
