Deans and Borough lead the pack

Horndean and Harrow are our pacesetters, Vale, Hayes and Villa hit four, and we’ve three goals and three points for Westfield and the Yellas

Three South Central matches, three South Central wins- the transfer from our South East Division couldn’t have gone better for Horndean, who sit at the summit after their latest victory, at Badshot Lea. The Deans went ahead eight minutes before half time, Zack Willett with the opener, but the Baggies hit back seven minutes into the second half, Harvey Harry with the equaliser. The hosts were level for only five minutes, however, Kelvin Robinson scoring what proved to be the winner, and it ensured that the visitors held top spot on goal difference. The Baggies are in the basement.

Harrow Borough, in second place, are yet to concede a league goal- and added three more to the ‘for’ column with a comfortable victory over Uxbridge, who are yet to pick up a point. Leo Sery was the architect of victory, picking up the match ball with goals in the twenty fourth, fifty eighth and eighty seventh minutes- and taking his tally for the season to five.

Raynes Park Vale ‘travelled’ to their own ground to take on tenants Kingstonian. The K’s had a one hundred percent record, but that departed in thirty eight first half minutes which saw Vale go four goals up. Tom Barnes got them on the way in the ninth minute, and the same player added the third on thirty five, with a goal from Jermaine Green the meat in that particular scoring sandwich. Nathan Lewis added a fourth seven minutes before half time, and at that point it became just about restoring some pride for the ‘hosts.’ Eddie Simon pulled a goal back just before the break, and added a second sixteen minutes from time, but that takes little attention away from a fine Vale performance.

Simon has played five four matches so far this season, and scored in each of them- five goals so far.

Westfield are in fourth after a fine victory over Leatherhead continued the Tanners poor start to the campaign. It took only five minutes for Field to go ahead, Jack Beadle with the opener, and in added time at the end of the first half Manolis Gogonas made it two from the spot. There was another spot kick twelve minutes from time, Kane Fitzgerald giving the visitors hope by converting, but in added time the hosts added a third goal, Emmanuel Abudiore making sure that the points remained in Woking Park. The Tanners continue to search for a first league victory.

Hayes and Yeading United headed to Southall for a local derby, and they left with three points, four goals and a clean sheet. They went ahead on twenty six minutes, Kaylen Hinds with the opener, and nine minutes later Jonathan Hippolyte added a second. It was three-nil by the break, Cole Brown with that one, and with the points already secure Jude Mason added a fourth fourteen minutes from time. United are fifth, having played a match fewer than the sides above them and retaining a one hundred percent record.

South Park Reigate welcomed the boys in blue of Met Police to Whitehall Lane, but it turned out that the predominant colour was red. The Sparks went ahead on thirty seven minutes, James McElligott with the opener, and it looked like that would be that until the hosts saw Conan Torpey dismissed with just under half an hour remaining. The visitors couldn’t capitalise, however, and we reached added time with the Sparks still ahead- and then, seven minutes into that additional time, Mason Galloway got an equaliser. That wasn’t the end of the action- there was still time for both Sam Tutt and Obed Yeboah to be sent off, ensuring that South Park ended with eight men.

Hanworth Villa had taken only one point from their first two League matches, but had hit four in each of their cup ties, and the Villains finally brought that cup form into their league campaign by hammering Ashford Town. Sam Merson got them underway with a goal in the fourth minute, and nine minutes later it was two-nil, Finlay McNab with that one. Jack Arnold got a goal back from the spot for the Tangerines, but Quincy Patterson made it three just before the break, and eleven minutes from time George Wells added a fourth. Villa are up to ninth.

Sutton Common Rovers welcomed Guernsey, and the Green Lions made the breakthrough on twenty six minutes, Sam Murray with the opener. It stayed that way until the sixty fifth minute, Noah Africa with the equaliser, and seven minutes later the turnaround was complete, Adam Aziz keeping his nerve from the spot to put Rovers ahead. Right at the end we had another spot kick, at the other end, and Matt Loaring made it two-two.

Ascot United picked up their first league win of the season, defeating Binfield on the road. Sean McCormack opened the scoring for the Yellas five minutes before the break, but although the Moles levelled midway through the second half, Duarte Surpanu the scorer, the visitors kicked on to win comfortably. Taylor Morgan was the architect, scoring on seventy and seventy seven minutes to seal a three-one victory.
