Farnham go ten clear as K’s slip up

We’ve wins for four of the top five, Rayners and Moles get four, Tangerines and Vale get three. Farnham, Uxbridge, Ascot, Hartley, Hayes, Tanners and Moneys are also victorious

Farnham Town increased their lead at the top of the table to ten points with victory over bottom side Badshot Lea- but it certainly wasn’t a walkover, despite the forty six points between the sides at kick off. Indeed the Baggies stormed into a third minute lead, but Jordan Gallagher quickly levelled, and two minutes into the second half Ryan Kinnane got what proved to be the winner, leaving most of the one thousand and twenty watching on rather delighted. Second place Kingstonian always looked to have a difficult task, Uxbridge their hosts- and it proved too difficult for them to handle despite Eddie Simon’s twenty fourth goal of the season giving them the lead on the half hour- although they could have been behind by then as keeper Liam Allen had already saved a penalty. They were ahead for only six minutes before Ada Okorogheye levelled for the hosts, and just when it looked like a point apiece, George Moore got the winner three minutes into added time- his nineteenth of the season. Uxbridge are third, only two points behind their opponents.

Ascot United have been in fine form, and three points against South Park Reigate at the Racecourse Ground made it twenty six points from the last thirty available. The match had only one goal, and it came twelve minutes into added time at the end of the match, leaving the Yellas delighted and the Sparks downcast. Ben Harris was the scorer, United in fourth, South Park a point above the drop zone.

Hartley Wintney got back to winning ways- and made it five wins from six- with a comfortable win in the Channel Islands, fog not interrupting their trip to Guernsey. Seb Karczewski opened the scoring on the hour, Conor Lynch made it two twenty minutes later, and the Row are fifth, leaving the Green Lions seven points from safety.

Hayes and Yeading United are sixth, two points away from the top five, after a narrow victory over Sutton Common Rovers, who are one point from safety. The match had only one goal, and it came three minutes from time, Adrian Clifton’s eighteenth of the campaign sealing victory.

Raynes Park Vale made it two wins in a row as Hanworth Villa’s dreadful end to 2024 continued. Vale were comfortable winners in the end, three-nil- a fourth defeat in a row for the Villains. Dan Berry put the hosts ahead on twenty six minutes, and twenty six minutes later Dan Hector added a second, not that he knew much about it, a keeper clearance bouncing off him and into the net. The points were wrapped up when Seanan McKillop got a third fourteen minutes from time, and Vale climb to seventh, Villa down to ninth.

Leatherhead climbed into the top ten with victory over Southall- one defeat in seven now for the Tanners, three in four for The All. Leatherhead went ahead on eleven minutes via Lukas Franzen-Jones, but ten minutes into the second half Zak Joseph brought the visitors level. The match perhaps hinged on a red card, Southall’s Kyron Richards dismissed with twenty one minutes remaining, and two minutes from time the hosts picked up all three points courtesy of Deondre Date’s thirteenth Tanners goal of the season.

Moneyfields travelled to Met Police, both sides in good form. Both were looking for a third win in a row, and in the end it was the Moneys who got that, Harry Thorpe scoring the only goal of the match three minutes before half time. Met’s chances were further undermined by a red card for Benjamin Mendoza just after the hour, and as it turned out that fatally damaged their chances.

Rayners Lane ended a five match winless run by hammering Westfield. Field went ahead on twelve minutes, Manolis Gogonas with the opener, but that was as good as it got as the hosts took charge. Myles Anderson quickly equalised, and just before half time Frank Keita’s nineteenth of the campaign gave his side the lead. Seven minutes after the break Keita took that tally to twenty, and an added time goal from substitute Jack McKnight made it four.

Binfield got back to winning ways by deepening the Horndean gloom. The Deans lost their third match in a row- three matches which have seen them concede sixteen goals- after the Moles came from behind to sweep them aside. Dan Sibley put the hosts ahead on twenty seven minutes, but they had only six minutes to enjoy that before Kickie Dzimba levelled, and six minutes later the same player put the Moles ahead. Seven minutes after half time Rahzir Smith-Jones made it three-one, and on sixty seven minutes it was four, Jack Brewer the scorer. The Moles go into fifteenth, above their hosts on goal difference, six points clear of the drop zone.

Ashford Town’s upturn in form is giving them hope of climbing out of the bottom four, and the Tangerines made it three unbeaten- two wins- with a comfortable victory over Harrow Borough. Jack Arnold set them on their way after six minutes, Sam Humphreys doubled their lead on eighteen minutes, and Arnold made sure of three points with the third goal twenty three minutes from time. The Tangerines are now only three points from safety- with a game in hand over eighteenth place South Park.
