Lancing were hoping to bounce back from defeat at Deal Town as they hosted Athletic Newham of the Essex Senior League- but their unbeaten visitors were clearly not happy with that idea. We had six goals in the first half, and four of them went to Athletic, who went behind to Charlie Gibson on eleven minutes but had scored four of their own only thirteen minutes later! Harry Docherty narrowed the gap from the spot ten minutes before half time, but a red card for Harrison Parker left an uphill struggle looking impossible for the Lancers, and they bow out.
