Third place Sheppey United hoped to get back on an even keel after Saturday’s hammering at Ramsgate, but they had to settle for a point at Merstham. The match had two goals, and they both arrived early, Gil Carvalho putting the Ites ahead on seven minutes and Lee Lewis levelling for the Moatsiders seven minutes later.
