Invicta to go 3G for 25/26

Folkestone Invicta have announced that- so long as planning permission is forthcoming- they will replace their grass pitch with a 3G surface at the end of the 24-25 season.

In a statement released this morning, the club cited the number of postponements as a primary driver behind their decision. They explained:

'After a tough 2023/24 season for the grass pitch and with too many Saturday matchday postponements, the surface is running its course and it’s time to change and evolve the playing surface at Folkestone Invicta FC.

With that in mind, the planning application for the 3G pitch, in addition to upgraded perimeter fencing, is due to be submitted to the council in the coming months.'
