Jamal of the Yellas

Ascot United have anounced the signing of winger Jamal Branker.

Jamal is a product of the Southampton youth setup, playing both Under 18 and Under 21 football. He had a loan spell with Frome Town, and after leaving the Saints joined Slough Town on a permanent deal. He headed up north to join Hyde United- and became a social media sensation for being nutmegged on camera by his friend Jesse Lingard, but he probably doesn't want us to mention that, so shhh, it's a secret!

After nearly three years at Hyde he headed south again and spent the briefest of brief periods with Thatcham Town, covid interrupted, before the first of two spells at North Leigh, which sandwiched a period with Wantage Town.
