Kingsford makes his Bay move permanent
Ryan Kingsford leaves Welling for the seaside, making Herne Bay his permanent home
Herne Bay have turned Ryan Kingsford's loan move from Welling United into a permanent move, after a fine start to his time with the club. He played eight times for the club on loan, scoring twice, and made his stay permanent prior to Saturday's defeat at Punjab United.
Ryan joined Welling in the summer after winning the title last season with Folkestone Invicta. He has made eight appearances so far, scoring once. He joined Invicta from Ramsgate in January, and went on to play seventeen times and score twice.
He signed for the Rams in the summer of 2025 after departing Sittingbourne, and played twenty four times, scoring four goals.
The forward made fifty five appearances for the Brickies during the 24-25 season, scoring nineteen goals.
Earlier in his career he spent two years with the Dover Athletic Academy and played briefly for Hollands & Blair before heading to the USA, where he played University football for Loyola Marymount Lions. He returned to the UK in the summer of 2024 and had a trial period with Maidstone United- but it was the Brickies who stepped up and offered him a deal, and he repaid them by playing an enormous part in their success.
