Seven clear for the Rocks, five goals for the Sarnies- and Southall depart the Cup after a nine goal thriller
The All come so close, Bognor win the battle of the top two, Egham find their form, whilst Moneys and Golds are also victorious. It’s our round up, in association with our friends from Dyno-Rod
Leaders Bognor Regis Town travelled to take on their closest challengers, Winchester City- and the Rocks went ahead on thirteen minutes, Henry Nevill adding to his goal on Saturday. City hit back seven minutes before half time, Bradley Waters taking his tally for the campaign up to five, but early in the second half the visitors were ahead once more, Liam Webber restoring their lead. This time they held onto it- and go seven points clear!

Hartley Wintney, who scored eight in Littlehampton on Saturday, were back on their own patch- but otherwise it seemed that nothing had changed as Sid Gbla, who scored two of the eight, put them ahead against AFC Stoneham in the very first minute. The visitors drew level just before the half hour, Jim Orvis delivering the equaliser, and sixteen minutes from time they took the lead, Mat Bainbridge making it two-one. Could they hold on for their first League win of the campaign? No! Gbla finished as he started, with an equaliser one minute from time, two-two the final score.
Littlehampton were desperate to bounce back from that Hartley hammering, and they started positively against visitors Cobham, Harry Heath scoring on three minutes. Three minutes from time George Gaskin added a second, and in added time they made quite sure of three points with a third goal, Lewis Olajide scoring it. The Golds climb to seventeenth.
Binfield desperately needed a win as they welcomed Moneyfields, and the Moles struck early, Monty Brady putting them ahead on three minutes. Twenty minutes later, however, the Moneys were level, Lewis Beale converting from the spot, and a minute from time the visitors scored a winner, Simba Mlambo breaking home hearts. The Moneys climb to twelfth, their hosts without a point after their first six matches.
Egham Town were hoping to climb out of the bottom four as Ascot United came to call, and the Sarnies made the breakthrough just after the half hour mark, Connah Wilks with the opener. Connor Cullen added a second just before half time, and just before the hour Deago Dunbar-Bonnie made it three. If there was any doubt that we’d have a home victory it was surely cast aside when Seb Karczewski added a fourth with twenty two minutes left, and there was still time for Brad Clayton to make it five. Egham climb to sixteenth, the Yellas drop into the bottom three.
FA Cup
Southall were superb in holding National League South side Dorking Wanderers to a draw on Sunday, but hoped to do even better as they travelled to Surrey for a replay. Wanderers took the lead midway through the first half, but Makael Scott levelled four minutes before half time and early in the second half Bill Montague put The All ahead. Sadly within nine minutes Wanderers had gone from two-one down to three-two up, but right at the end of normal time Anthony O’Connor made it three-three, and off to extra time we went.
On one hundred and one minutes an own goal gave The All the lead, only for Wanderers to score two at the right end in the second half and lead the tie five-four. Could Southall respond? Sadly, on this occasion they could not, coming up short despite their heroics.
