Two Blues go Green
Mikey O’Donoghue and Lonit Talla swap Wingate for Hendon
Hendon decided that if you can't beat them, sign them, as they brought in two players from Wingate and Finchley- who of course defeated them last week.
Mikey O'Donaghue, a left back, was a big part of Hornchurch's title win last season, making twenty one appearances after signing on midway through the campaign. He started last season at Haringey Borough, and indeed had been with Borough for three years, making twenty five appearances and scoring two goals last season, thirty seven appearances during 22-23, thirty nine during 21-22, and fifteen as Borough reached the Fourth Round of the FA Trophy during our final pandemic-hit campaign.
That was his second Borough spell, and he was previously with Concord Rangers and Colchester United, playing Under 18 football for United after also being a youth with Reading and Leyton Orient.
He has played eight times since joining Wingate and Finchley.
Lonit Talla, a midfielder, has made five appearances for the Blues this season. Lonit was with Harrow Borough in Pitching In Southern Premier last season, playing forty times, and was with Uxbridge during 22-23, playing eight times and scoring once. He has also played for Egham Town, and was a Queens Park Rangers youth.
