Witham aim for third place- whilst the Abbotts and Seasiders hope to break into the top five

Witham, Abbey and Felixstowe have top five aspirations- Mildenhall, Haringey and Cambridge City hope to thwart their plans. Newmarket face Grays Athletic- whilst Regent are in Cup action

Witham Town have had a fine season so far, and got back to winning ways after two defeats by putting three past Newmarket Town on Saturday. Another win for Witham will send them third on goal difference, and they’ve always a good chance of improving that goal difference with striker Josh Osude in such fine form, having scored fifteen goals already this season. Mildenhall Town are the visitors to the Simarco Stadium, Hall having an inconsistent season but looking good in patches and better away from home than on their own patch, having already defeated Walthamstow and Brightlingsea Regent on their travels.

Felixstowe and Walton United have been invincible at home, but rather less so on the road, so Cambridge City will be pleased to be at home- even if it is not yet their home they will be in. The Seasiders have lost their last two on their travels, whilst City have won three of their last four, including their last two at their temporary St Ives Town home.

Waltham Abbey hit five on Saturday, whilst visitors Haringey Borough saw their recent good form desert them as they conceded the same number. Another win for the Abbotts might lift them into the top five if other results go their way, and with seven points and nine goals from their past three matches they must be favourites; whilst Borough had finally looked to be on an even keel with wins over Ipswich Wanderers and Sporting Bengal United before Saturday’s hammering at the hands of Brentwood Town.

Newmarket Town protect a three match unbeaten run on their own patch, as Grays Athletic come to call. The Jockeys lost at Witham at the weekend, whilst Athletic have only one defeat from five- but have struggled away from home, their only victory in any competition on the road coming on penalties in the Velocity Cup.

Speaking of the Velocity Cup, Brightlingsea Regent head to Bowers and Pitsea for an Essex derby.
