Knaphill duo take the hot seat at the Row

Jamie Daltrey and John Cook are the new managers at Hartley Wintney

Hartley Wintney announced on May 21st (we're catching up on announcements that came during our holiday season) that they had appointed Knaphill managerial duo Jamie Daltrey and John Cook as their new managers. The double act replace Danny Ackland, who departed earlier this month.

Jamie and John recently took Knaphill all the way to the Play Off Final in the Combined Counties Premier South Play Off Final, where they lost narrowly to AFC Croydon- who, of course, are due to join our South East Division.

The club statement explains:

'The Club have made the decision to appoint Jamie Daltrey & John Cook as the new managerial team. Dalts & Cookie join us from Knaphill where they missed out on promotion to Step 4 (the level at which Hartley compete) when they lost in the play-off final to AFC Croydon. Meetings are taking place with the existing pool of players as they plan ahead for the forthcoming season.

We welcome them to the Row and wish them well in their endeavours.'
