Jay Beckford and Godfrey Poku are new arrivals at Sittingbourne

Sittingbourne have announced two new members of their squad for the forthcoming campaign, as they look to secure Pitching In isthmian South East promotion.

Jay Beckford, a winger,  played as a youth for Leyton Orient and Arsenal, and then spent time in Norway with Lillehammer and Gjøvik-Lyn before a spell in Sweden with Ytterhogdals IK. He then came our way, and spent a short time with Wingate and Finchley, before joining Eastbourne Borough in the closing stages of the 22-23 season. Last season saw him spend time on loan at Burgess Hill Town, where he made eleven appearances and scored one goal.

Midfielder Godfrey Poku first emerged at St Albans City and was quickly snapped up by Luton Town before being loaned back to the Saints. A loan at Southport followed before he signed for Mansfield Town- the Stags letting him go for another loan at Southport. After time at Alfreton and Telford United he returned south to sign for Woking, and whilst with the Cards he played for Havant & Waterlooville on loan.

After two seasons with Oxford City and a season with Wealdstone he returned to Woking, then had two years back at Havant before spending the 22-23 season at Hemel Hempstead Town. He signed for Enfield last summer and played four times before becoming one of many players to depart the club, when he joined Margate. He played twenty times for Gate last season.
