A Brickies quartet as Gnahore, Wright, Wabo and Martin arrive

Ambrose Gnahore, Kevin Wright, Norman Wabo and Tony Martin are new at Sittingbourne

Prior to Saturday's impressive win over Pitching In Isthmian Premier side Bognor Regis Town, Sittingbourne announced four new arrivals.

Winger and occasional full back Ambrose Gnahore you might remember from his time at Whyteleafe, Kingstonian or Ashford United, but he has played for clubs in a number of countries, including Assyriska BK of Sweden, AD Almudévar of Spain, CD Gouveia of Portugal, SK Bischofshofen of Austria, and Aubagne, Canet Roussillon and FC Albères Argelès of France. Oh, and Farnborough.

Kevin Wright, a defender, also came through the youth ranks at Chelsea where he played Under 18, Under 21 and Under 23 football, and is similarly well travelled. After leaving Stamford Bridge he travelled up the M6 to Carlisle United, and then went even further, playing in Norway for Fredrikstad, in Sweden for Degerfors, Örebro and IK Sirius, in Greece for Apollon Smyrnis and in the USA for Oakland Roots.

Norman Wabo, a striker, has made seven appearances for Maldon and Tiptree this season. He came through the youth ranks at Southend United and has spent a number of spells with Isthmian clubs, including Cambridge City, Cheshunt, Margate, Bowers and Pitsea and Potters Bar Town, and has also played at a higher level with Ebbsfleet United, Maidstone United, Braintree Town, Dartford, Concord Rangers, Billericay Town, Eastbourne Borough and Weymouth, before spending some time at Hayes and Yeading United last season.

Forward Tony Martin has been playing for Great Wakering Rovers, these days in the Essex Senior League. Tony was last in our League with Walthamstow at the start of last season, playing six times.

During 2017-18 and briefly during 2018-19 he played for Aveley, making twenty appearances, and prior to that was rather prolific for Tilbury, scoring eight goals in eighteen games during 2014-15, twenty two in forty three games the following season, and another six in twenty six during 2016-17. He moved from the Dockers to VCD Athletic, where he got four in thirteen, and also played for Redbridge and Hullbridge Sports, Ware, Maldon & Tiptree and Barking.
