A Golds quartet

A Golds quartet

Harry Heath, Dion Jarvis, George Taggart and Matt Daniel join Littlehampton Town

Littlehampton Town have brought in four new faces- although some of hem have been seen in gold previously.

Midfielder George Taggart started last season at Hastings United, and indeed ended it there, too, playing forty times. He spent some of the 24-25 season at Lancing, and some of it at Whitehawk, making fourteen appearances for the Lancers and nineteen for the Hawks.

George first joined Lancing in the summer of 2023 after departing SCFL side Eastbourne United, and was one of their top performers as they finished the 23-24 season in an unprecedented sixth place. He made thirty eight appearances and contributed seven goals.

Prior to Eastbourne United, George played for Eastbourne Town and had a first spell with Hastings. He played six times for Hastings during the 2017-18 South Division season.

Matt Daniel ended last season with Hassocks, playing twenty three times, after joining the Robins from East Grinstead Town. He joined the Wasps three seasons ago, and was a great success. His eleven appearances last season brought three goals, he got ten in forty four during 24-25 season, four in twenty four during 23-24, and three in thirty six during 22-23.

Matt played forty times for Lancing during 21-22, and weighed in with eleven crucial goals as his side retained their Step Four status via a relegation play off. That was his second spell with the club, with a period at Horsham YMCA in between.

Harry Heath played forty times and scored forty goals for Steyning Town last season, as they won the SCFL title. He previously spent some time with the Golds during the 24-25 campaign, leaving Lancing for Littlehampton before heading back there.

Harry joined the Lancers from nearby Shoreham in the summer of 2023, and  scored five goals in his twenty five appearances. He had a fine 2022-23, scoring twenty seven goals as Shoreham gained promotion back to Step Five- including five in one match as his side defeated Wick back in January 2023. At one point he went on a run which saw him score thirteen goals in just six matches. He has also played for Newhaven, and isn't confined to playing through the middle- he has also been utilised on the wing and as a number ten. He had previously scored rather regularly for Steyning Town and Southwick, and has also played for Alford.

Dion Jarvis is already something of a Littlehampton legend, but also comes in from Steyning Town, after scoring a rather incredible thirty two goals in forty four matches last season. He spent time with the Golds and with Chichester City and Bognor Regis Town during 24-25, and was also in Littlehampton for 23-24, making forty one appearances and scoring five goals. That followed eight goals in thirty eight appearances as Town made their Isthmian bow in 22-23, and he played a critical part in their promotion campaign the previous season- indeed 21-22 saw them win the SCFL title and two cups.

He has also played for Arundel.
