A good night on the road

Egham Town welcomed Harrow Borough to Runnymede, and they were a little too welcoming in the early stages, Lucias Vine firing the visitors ahead on eight minutes. Nine minutes into the second half Gareth Chendlik doubled the visitors lead from the spot, and four minutes later Vine added a third. Victory lifts Borough to fourteenth- and defeat leaves the Sarnies fourth from bottom. 

Cobham took a quarter of an hour to take the lead against visitors Hayes & Yeading United, Ryan Marklew opening the scoring- and they must have enjoyed that, as they did it again three minutes later, Derick Hayford doubling their advantage. Harry Grant got a goal back for United with twenty minutes to go, and two minutes after that the visitors were level, Dernell Wynter with the equaliser.  Next goal wins? It went to Cobham, Reece Robins scoring from the spot five minutes from time, and it sent the hosts into fifth place. 

Moneyfields welcomed AFC Portchester in a local derby. The match was goalless until just after the hour, and then the Royals struck, Jason Prior delighting the travelling fans. As it turned out, that was the only goal- and it sees the visitors up to second place, a point behind leaders Bognor Regis Town. 

AFC Stoneham was the destination for the Tangerines of Ashford Town- and it was a tangerine dream on sixty four minutes when Jack Arnold put the visitors ahead. Arnold struck again three minutes from time, and Town climb to eighth. 

In the FA Cup, Burgess Hill Town and Jersey Bulls met in a replay, the Hillians running out three-one winners. Chris Whelpdale was the star for the ‘visitors’ (the match was played in Burgess Hill despite Bulls being officially the home team), scoring a hat trick. Jay Giles scored for the Channel Islanders.
