A Halliday in North London
QPR keeper Joel Halliday is new at Wingate and Finchley
Wingate and Finchley gave a debut to Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Joel Halliday in victory over Cray Valley PM on Saturday- and he kept a clean sheet.
Joel may only be twenty years old but he has no shortage of experience. He first played Under 18 football for Basingstoke Town, and whilst at Stoke had loan spells at Whitchurch United, Tadley Calleva and Fleet Town, before a move to Tadley permanently. He signed for Rangers in January 2025, and since then has played for Chertsey Town, making four appearances during September. He then went back to Basingstoke for a short loan spell, playing three times, and more recently has been with Flackwell Heath.
