A mixed Invicta debut for Amadou

Amadou Kassaraté is new at Folkestone Invicta

Folkestone Invicta announced the arrival of Amadou Kassaraté just prior to their match against Cray Valley PM on Saturday, and the midfielder was given an immediate debut, but sadly played only thirty five minutes of it before picking up a red card.

Amadou's career has brought him our way previously, and it has also taken him to Scotland, and to Greece, two places which are almost indistinguishable due to their similar climate.

He olayed for Welling United and Walton Casuals before first heading North of the Border, becoming an Under 20 at Dumbarton before making the first team squad. He also had a loan spell at Kirkintilloch, and another at Stranraer, before heading to the birthplace of the Olympics to sign for Thesprotos Igoumenitsas.

He returned to the UK and signed for Cheshunt, playing sixteen times during the 2019-20 campaign before the pandemic got in the way, with three goals- and then made forty two appearances during their triumphant promotion campaign in 21-22, scoring seven goals- including the opener in the Play Off Final against Hornchurch.

He has since spent a season back at Welling, and spent last season in National League North with Bishop's Stortford.
