A new Hamlet duo

Ibrahim Bangura and Samir Carruthers arrive at Champion Hill

Dulwich Hamlet added two more new faces over the weekend, with Ibrahim Bangura and Samir Carruthers arriving at Champion Hill.

Ibrahim came through the Academy at AFC Wimbledon, playing for the youth sides before graduating to the Under 18 side. He can play in midfield or in defence. He joined Kingstonian in February 2023, and made fourteen appearances, helping them to secure their Premier Division status, and then spent some time with Hastings United, playing five times during 23-24.

His next stop was Corinthian-Casuals, and he then spent time at South Park Reigate, playing a couple of times at the end of the 23-24 campaign. He joined Hayes & Yeading United during the 24-25 season, playing twenty three times, and played thirteen times last season before a move to Raynes Park Vale, where he played twenty nine times and scored two goals.

Samir joined Dartford from Chelmsford City in the summer of 2024. His first campaign saw him make forty two appearances, score twelve goals, and be named in our Team of the Year, and then he followed that with twenty three appearances and two goals last season.

The midfielder has experience at a much higher level, playing youth football for Cambridge United, Arsenal and Aston Villa before graduating to the Villa first team. He moved on to MK Dons and made more than one hundred appearances before moving further north to Sheffield United. Spells at Oxford United and Cambridge United came next as he realised an attraction to University cities, and then he moved on to Hemel Hempstead Town before first becoming a Dart. He spent 22-23 with the club, moved on to Chelmsford, and then returned to Princes Park.
