A new Skipper for Bowers

Bowers and Pitsea had a new name in their line up as they took on Chatham Town on Saturday, as young Gillingham Academy player Stanley Skipper debuted in the number four shirt.

The midfielder isn't entirely new to the Pitching In Isthmian League, as he had a loan spell at Ashford United at the end of last season, playing seven times. A former Arsenal youth, who played initially for the Gills at Under 18 level, signed his first professional deal in the summer- after being named the Academy Player of the Season.
