A Newby for the Millers

Cray Valley PM gave a debut to Alfie Newby on Saturday, the defender coming on on loan from Colchester United until the end of the season.

Alfie has played both Under 18 and Under 21 football for United, and has played some senior football as he  recently had a loan spell at one of our former clubs, AFC Sudbury, who these days are in Pitching In Southern Premier Central. So far as we can see he only played once, in a derby defeat against Bury Town just after Christmas.

He signed his first professional deal in the summer, and first arrived at Colchester as an Under 12 after spending time as a schoolboy with Arsenal and West Ham United.
