A Sports trio

Phoenix Sports didn't have a match at the weekend, but that didn't stop some squad strengthening from taking place.

Joe Thomas ended last season with Sports, the midfielder impressing whilst making eight appearances. He started this season at Hythe Town, playing in the FA Cup draw against Abbey Rangers, and then the following Saturday played for Sports against…Hythe Town! He was previously a youth and Under 21 player with Bromley- from whom he initially joined Sports on loan- and has also played for K Sports and Maidstone United.

Midfielder Thompson Adeyemi was part of the Epsom & Ewell side which knocked Sports out of the FA Cup earlier this month, and he must have played rather well as he has now stepped up a level. You might remember him playing briefly for Chipstead during the 22-23 South Central season, making five appearances. He had made close to fifty Epsom appearances. 

Full back Aaron Clarke returns to the club. Aaron ended last season with Grays Athletic, where he made nine appearances. He moved to Athletic from Pitching In isthmian South Central side Corinthian-Casuals, where he made eleven appearances, and he also spent time last season with Pitching In Isthmian South East side Erith and Belvedere, playing three times from the bench. 

He previously played for Sports, Punjab United and VCD Athletic.
