A Wanderers double as Bennett and Bareck debut

Callum Bennett and Michael Bareck are new at Ipswich Wanderers

Ipswich Wanderers had two debutants in their ranks as they ended Gorleston's perfect start to the season on Saturday- and one of them found himself on the scoresheet.

Michael Bareck was the scorer- indeed it took him only five minutes to find the net. Michael came through the youth ranks at Ipswich Town, spent some time with Southend Manor, and, towards the end of the 21-22 season, with Athletic Newham in the Essex Senior League. He stared the 22-23 season with Bowers and Pitsea, where he played sixteen times and scored three goals, and then moved on to Witham Town, where he played fourteen times and scored five goals. He started last season with AFC Sudbury, these days in Pitching In Southern Premier, before moving on to Basildon United, playing eight times and scoring twice, and then to Walthamstow, ten appearances and one goal.

Callum Bennett, a defender, is also a former Ipswich Town youth, and also played youth football at Stoke City before moving on to Notts County. He first came our way with Bury Town, and then spent some time at Felixstowe and Walton United before a few years at Lowestoft Town, returning to play in Felixstowe during the 18-19 campaign. He remained a Seasider until recently, and indeed even started the season with the club- and is also a former club captain at United.
