Abubakar makes a scoring debut
Salhin Abubakar is the latest Met Police arrival
Metropolitan Police had a new face in their squad as they took on Cobham in the County Cup on Tuesday night, and Salhin Abubakar started his career in blue by finishing a beautiful move- ten passes, the last two quite superb, and in came Salhin at the far post to score.
Salhin comes in on a dual registration deal from Pitching In Southern Premier side Basingstoke Town. South Central watchers might remember him from the five matches he played for Badshot Lea last season, and he also previously had a spell with Hanwell Town when they were still with us- you might recall that he scored in a twelve-nil win for the Geordies over Staines Town in the early weeks of 2022.
He has played for Met previously, back in 21-22, and has also appeared for Hartley Wintney, Swindon Supermarine, Walton Casuals, North Leigh and Kidlington.
