Ali the Bee new at Bowers

Bowers and Pitsea have announced the signing of Basildon United's Samir Ali.

The forward stepped up to our level last season from Thurlow Nunn First Division South side Burnham Ramblers, and was an immediate success, scoring sixteen goals in his forty two matches- and he didn't manage to score against his new club, so his new supporters at the Len Salmon have nothing to forgive him for!

Samir scored twenty goals from twenty five appearances for Ramblers during the 22-23 season (according to the FA website), and the Bees stated that he scored forty nine in his previous two seasons. He also scored on his Basildon debut, in friendly defeat at Whitstable Town. He was previously found banging them in for Woodford Town, and he appears to be an Arsenal supporter, but we won't hold that against him!
