Altendorff out...Saunders in at the Hawks
Whitehawk boss resigns...and former boss returns
Whitehawk have announced the resignation of manager Dave Altendorff.
Dave joined the club in the summer as Assistant Manager, and was thrust into the hotseat when then-boss Ross McNeilly resigned last month. He has been unable to arrest their poor form, and leaves with the club bottom of the table, and without a win in ten matches.
Shaun Saunders, who left the club in May, has taken the reins- alongside Adam Simpson. We await further information about the permanence of this position.
Saunders, who was in charge from April 2022, started his tenure by ensuring that the club retained their Pitching In Isthmian South East status, before steering them to promotion via the Play Offs during 22-23- and took them to ninth in their first campaign back in the top flight.
