Amber Wood- and Amber Bitalo

Tommy Wood returns to Cheshunt- and Dorian Bitalo arrives

Cheshunt fans will be delighted with the return of Tommy Wood, who spent last season playing National League South football  just down the road at Enfield Town.

Striker Tommy played youth football for Wycombe Wanderers, Reading and Burnley before signing a contract with the latter. He left Turf Moor and spent some time at AFC Wimbledon, and whilst there he came our way for the first time, almost keeping Burgess Hill Town up on his own at the end of the 2018-19 campaign, and also rather prolific for Leatherhead and Tonbridge Angels.

He then moved to Angels permanently for two seasons, and after a spell at Hampton & Richmond Borough and another at Angels came our way once more, signing for Lewes. he scored twelve goals in thirty seven matches for the Rooks during the 23-24 campaign.

He moved to the Ambers the following season, scoring eight goals in twenty six appearances, before a move to Hornchurch. He moved to Enfield Town in the summer of 2025, but was back with Cheshunt on a dual registration deal last season, playing eighteen times and scoring five goals.

Also joining the club is full back Dorian Bitalo. So far as we can tell this is the first time he has been our way. He was previously with Boreham Wood as a youth and Under 19 player, and then spent time with London Colney- indeed he was their top scorer in 24-25 with five goals! he made thirty five appearances last season, scoring three more.
