An E17 Trio
Bobby Rea, Lewis Greene and Louis Johnson are new at Walthamstow
Walthamstow have added three names to their squad for the forthcoming season, with Bobby Rea, Lewis Greene and Louis Johnson.
Bobby may be familiar to you after his time at Stowmarket Town last season. The full back came through the Academy at AFC Sudbury and has played Under 18 and reserve football for the yellows. He made twenty two appearances last season- a senior baptism of fire- and scored once.
Goalkeeper Lewis Greene spent last season at Brightlingsea Regent, where he made forty three appearances.
He was previously first choice keeper for Hullbridge Sports during their last four years in Pitching In Isthmian North, making more than one hundred appearances. He joined the club in January 2019 from Redbridge. Prior to his time with the Motormen he was with Canvey Island, and also had some time on loan with Bowers & Pitsea.
Louis Johnson had a fine half season with Redbridge, helping the Motormen to win the Essex Senior Cup. He played eighteen times and scored six goals after starting the campaign with Enfield, where he played twice.
He moved to Redbridge from then-Pitching In Southern Division One Central leaders Bedford Town. He signed for Bedford in September 2023 and made his debut in FA Cup victory over Bowers & Pitsea.
Louie also finished the 22-23 season with Enfield, and indeed was a big part of their promotion campaign, after making the move- between clubs, if not geographically- from Bishop's Stortford. He made a dozen appearances for the Blues as the 2019-20 season came to an unfortunate early close, and four more as the 20-21 season lasted almost no time at all.
