Angels Penney and Higgs become temporary Rams

Ramsgate prepared for the weekend with the loan signings of defender Arthur Penney and midfielder Jordan Higgs from Tonbridge Angels. 

Arthur has- almost- been a Ram previously. 

He played Under 18 and Under 21 football for Millwall, before departing the New Den and signing on at Lewes, where he made forty nine appearances last season, scoring two goals. Prior to his move to Sussex he had a long loan spell at National League South side Welling United. 

He was announced as joining the Rams in the summer of 2024, but before he could play was snapped up by National League South side Chelmsford City. He played thirty five times for the Clarets before a move to  Angels in the summer.

Jordan was part of the Academy at Bromley, before graduating to the first team squad- although prior to playing for the Ravens he was with our very own Carshalton Athletic, indeed he scored his first competitive goals for the Robins in a win over Hastings United back in March 2016. He then moved on to play National League football for Dulwich Hamlet, Dover Athletic, Tonbridge Angels and Maidstone United before returning to Angels in the summer.
