Another Scholars trio

Following the arrival of Louie Henry on loan from Stevenage- who we told you about yesterday- Potters Bar Town announced another trio of arrivals.

Also arriving from Stevenage is midfielder Ryan Doherty. Ryan became Stevenage's youngest outfield player ever at just 16 years and 43 days old as recently as November 12th, so those of you who are good at maths will have worked out that he is still just sixteen years old. He was featured in The Sun back in July when it was suggested that his performances at youth level had already brought interest from Premier League clubs, and his first team debut came in a Bristol Street Motors Trophy match against Gillingham. 

Khale Da Costa will be more familiar to Isthmian audiences. The winger has been with Folkestone Invicta this season, playing eleven times and scoring twice.

Khale ended last season at Chatham Town, making fourteen appearances, the last of them in the Pitching In isthmian Premier Play Off Final in May. He also scored two goals. He joined the Chats from Concord Rangers, and scored two goals in thirteen appearances last season.

He ended the 22-23 season at Enfield Town, playing seven times and scoring in the first two, after moving to North London from Chelmsford City. Khale joined the Clarets in the summer of 2022, making the move from fellow National South side Braintree Town. 

He has also played in the National League for Dover Athletic, Tonbridge Angels, Concord Rangers, Braintree Town, Chelmsford City and St Albans City. He has a great deal of additional previous Isthmian experience, with Ware, Hanwell Town, Harrow Borough, Harlow Town and Hendon on that list.

Peter Holmes is another loanee, arriving from Cambridge United. Midfielder Peter was part of the Crystal Palace Academy before making the move to United in the summer of 2023, and has been on the bench for the first team in League matches as well as appearing in the EFL Trophy. He has recently been on loan at Biggleswade in Pitching In Southern Division One Central.
