Attendances up- again!
October saw our crowds increase once more. Here are some highlights
It has been a very positive season so far with crowd numbers heading upwards- indeed, compared to this time last season our attendances are up by more than eight percent, with over two hundred and thirty thousand visits to our matches by the end of October.
And if we compare October 2026 with October 2025, attendances rose by nearly twenty seven percent!
The month saw the highest attendance of the campaign so far, the three thousand, three hundred and thirty four who watched Dulwich Hamlet draw with Carshalton Athletic on October 17th. Looking specifically at Pitching In Isthmian Premier, that match at Champion Hill is joined in season top ten by the one thousand, eight hundred and eighty nine who watched Lewes take on Whitehawk on October 3rd, the one thousand, six hundred and seven who witnessed Ramsgate versus Carshalton Athletic on the same date, and the one thousand, five hundred and seventy five on the south coast as Eastbourne Borough took on the Rams on the last day of the month.
October also provided five new entries into the Pitching In Isthmian North top ten, with the five hundred and ninety eight who watched Cambridge City hammer Little Oakley on 17th the highest new entry at number two, and six new entries into the Pitching In Isthmian South Central chart, the eight hundred and eighty six who watched Jersey Bulls take on Ascot United the largest of those at number three.
Pitching In Isthmian South East saw three new entries into its top ten, two of them from Hastings United taking third and fourth place. Merstham celebrated their ground opening by welcoming one thousand and twenty three to watch them take on Ashford United on the last day of the month, and that was the fifth highest South East attendance so far this season.
The top thirty attendances so far, across all Divisions, are shown in the table below. Thanks again to our statistician Neil Pilcher for doing the number crunching!
