Black is back

Hastings United might not have managed a match on Saturday, but they did manage to announce a returning hero, Ollie Black rejoining the club on loan from Worthing.

Ollie, who can play at full back or centre half,  played for Charlton Athletic and Eastbourne Borough at youth level before a move to the Pilot Field. He became a mainstay of the United first team, playing sixteen times during his first 2017-18 season, fourteen times during 18-19, thirty six times during 19-20, ten times before 20-21 fell over almost as soon as it began, thirty seven times during 21-22 as his club won promotion,  nineteen times during 22-23 and another thirty four times last season, when he was Managers Player of the Season and Directors Player of the Season. He moved to Worthing in the summer, has made twenty appearances so far, and returns to Pilot Field on an initial one month loan.
