Blues v Jammers and Tangerines v Moles provides Friday night delight
We’ve matches in Pitching In Isthmian North and South Central Divisions this evening. Here’s our preview
Brentwood Town are in fine form in Pitching In Isthmian North, Tuesday’s win over Ipswich Wanderers their fifth in a row- but the Blues face the challenge of in-form Maldon and Tiptree at the Arena tonight.
The Jammers might be in thirteenth, but they hit the road with a six match unbeaten run to protect, four of them victories. They may be nine points away from the promotion picture but they will consider themselves very much candidates for inclusion, and will be full of confidence. A Brentwood win would, however, see them climb to third- although that climb might turn out to be temporary as Witham play on Saturday. The Blues have won the last four meetings between the sides- a two season double double.
In Pitching In Isthmian South Central Ashford Town are nine points from safety and eleven matches without a win, that last victory coming way back on October 8th. They host- at Cobham- a Binfield side who are three unbeaten in league and cup, two of those victories over Harrow Borough. The Tangerines did the double over the Moles last season, six-nil and one-nil, but they may face a far more robust challenge this time around.
