Bridges remain eight clear at the top

Three Bridges win narrowly, Croydon and Merstham each hit four, Deal get three, whilst Leafe and Bulls also triumph

Leaders Three Bridges were at Crowborough Athletic, and ahead after a quarter of an hour, Sam Bull opening the scoring- but the Crows hit back eight minutes later, Jack Lyons delivering the equaliser. The visitors were ahead once more just before the break, skipper Noel Leighton with his twenty third goal in twenty six matches, but the Crows again drew level, this time from the spot, Elliott Duncan making it two-two, and we had twenty two minutes for someone to find a winner. Three-two arrived nine minutes from time, and that fifth goal of the afternoon went to Bridges, Charlie Bennett - and this time it was the winner. Bridges remain eight points clear at the top.

AFC Croydon Athletic (pictured) were at the seaside, taking on Herne Bay- and they were ahead after only eight minutes, Josh Williams with the opening goal. On sixteen minutes they got another, Brandon Pierrick doubling the lead, and it was three-nil on sixty four minutes, new arrival Jack Jebb adding that one. Another new arrival, Stanley Oldfield, added number four six minutes from time, and the Rams remain second, eight points behind the leaders and seven clear of third place Whyteleafe.

Faversham Town travelled to Jersey Bulls, the match between two of the promotion chasers kicking off an hour after the rest. The first half ended without a goal, and the second half was heading the same way until fifteen minutes from time, when Rai Dos Santos popped up with the winner for the hosts. Bulls stay sixth- but are behind their visitors only on goal difference, and only by one goal!

Sittingbourne were outplayed in the first half of their midweek match at Broadbridge Heath and then scored six in the second half- so they won’t have been too downhearted when they fell behind for the second match in a row, Sevenoaks Town taking the lead on thirty one minutes through Jefferson Aibangbee. Henry Sinai quickly drew the Brickies level, but they were behind again by the break, Charlie Dickens scoring in added time to delight the travelling fans.

The Brickies were quickly level once more, Harvey Smith making it two-two immediately after the restart, but six minutes from time Oaks struck again, Daniel Duncanson making it three-two. Could they hold on? It seemed they could, and then, six minutes into added time, Bagasan Graham made it three-three. That, finally, was that.

AFC Whyteleafe travelled to the seaside to take on Eastbourne Town, and they went ahead seven minutes before half time, Dan Bennett the scorer. Deep in added time Ryan Gondoh added a second from the spot to confirm three green points. Leafe are up to third.

Deal Town played host to Hastings United, and went ahead on the half hour, Jamie Kennedy scoring the first goal of the afternoon. Shortly after half time Jamie Kennedy added a second, and on fifty six minutes it was three-nil, Owen Wilkinson leaving United with a mountain to climb. There was no way back for the visitors, and Deal are up to seventh.

Merstham took the lead against relegation-threatened VCD Athletic six minutes after the break, Olly Allen with the goal- and they very quickly added a second courtesy of Louis Theophanous.

Theophanous got another nineteen minutes from time, and then completed his hat trick by scoring the Moatsiders fourth in added time, a result which lifts them to ninth.
