Burton and Scales of Bowers

Prior to kick off on Saturday, Bowers and Pitsea announced the return to the club of Joe Burton and George Scales.

Defender Joe has recently been with Hullbridge Sports in the Essex Senior League, but he has played eleven times for Pitching In Isthmian North side Concord Rangers this season, and also made twenty eight appearances for the Beachboys at Premier Division level last season. 

Joe played for Bowers from a very young age, and also played for the Under 18 and Under 23 sides. He also played youth football for Rangers, becoming a mainstay of the Under 18 side before making his first team debut when the Beachboys were still a National League South side back in March 2023. 

Midfielder George Scales makes a move from Basildon United. George played for Bowers at Under 14 and Under 15 level before being snapped up by Cambridge United,. He left United in the summer, and has made twenty appearances for the Bees, scoring three goals.
