Can the K’s reduce the gap to one point?
Kingstonian hope to get closer to the leaders as they head to Binfield, Hayes welcome the Baggies and the Tanners host the Sparks. It’s our South Central preview
We’ve three matches in Pitching In Isthmian South Central this evening.
Kingstonian had won eight matches in a row, the last six of them without conceding a goal, and then South Park Reigate- without a win on the road- travelled to face the K’s on Saturday and left with the points, which leaves the K’s four points behind leaders Farnham Town with a game in hand- and they play it tonight, heading to Binfield. The Moles ended a four match losing streak on Saturday, defeating Harrow Borough with a goal two minutes from time, and have a good reason to want revenge, having lost seven-one when the sides met in September.
Hayes and Yeading United welcome bottom side Badshot Lea. The hosts are four points away from the top five with two games in hand, and got back to winning ways with a four-one win over Raynes Park Vale at the weekend; whilst the visitors are also looking for a second win in a row, boosted by their first win of the season on Saturday. They are nine points from safety with two games in hand, so this match is rather important for both sides, if for different reasons.
Leatherhead are at home to South Park Reigate, the Sparks looking to build upon that first away win of the season at the weekend by repeating the feat. That victory lifted them out of the bottom four, and they are only three points behind their hosts, albeit it with a far inferior goal difference. The Tanners got back to winning ways at Met Police at the weekend, ending a five match winless run. The sides met in the Velocity Cup in September, Leatherhead scoring the only goal of the game.
