Hythe Town had a new forward on display as they lost at Croydon Athletic on Saturday, Vance Bola making his first start.

Vance has been along the coast at Ramsgate this season, making six appearances and scoring in the last one. He ended last season with Herne Bay, playing seven times and scoring twice, and was previously with Ashford United, scoring eleven goals in twenty nine appearances, after joining the Nuts and Bolts during the 22-23 campaign from Carshalton Athletic. 

Vance had only been with the Robins since the summer of 2022, after signing from Margate. He'd managed only three appearances before his move to Ashford. 

Vance made forty three appearances for Gate during the 21-22 season, and weighed in with a number of important goals, fifteen in fact- including a double as his side defeated eventual champions Worthing by four goals to two. Prior to his time with the Blues, he was with Sittingbourne, Whyteleafe, Enfield Town, Met Police, Royston Town, Dunstable Town and Wealdstone.
