Willie Clemons makes scoring Felixstowe debut

Felixstowe and Walton United delivered a six goal masterclass in defeating Newmarket Town on Saturday, and the scorer of their fourth goal was a new arrival, Willie Clemons.

Willie, a Bermuda international, has most recently been with Braintree Town, but you will undoubtedly remember him playing for a successful Stowmarket Town side during 21-22, making thirty appearances and scoring ten goals as they reached the Play Off Semi Final.

Willie moved to Stow from Scandinavia, where he had been playing for Swedish second-tier club Dalkurd FF having joined them from another Swedish side, Bodens BK. He moved up two levels in the process. He had a difficult final season with Dalkurd due to injury.

He had a number of offers to come to England and play in the National League over the winter of 2020, only for the pandemic to get in the way, so his signing was something of a coup for Town- and we suspect it's similarly a coup for the Seasiders.
