Dickson is the latest Tanner

Leatherhead announced a new signing prior to our midweek fixtures, James Dickson coming in from Pitching In Southern Premier side Basingstoke Town.

Midfielder James had made eighteen appearances for Stoke this season, scoring once.

He has been with us before. He came through the youth setup at Dorking Wanderers to become part of the first team squad, and spent some time on loan at Chipstead during the 2020-21 season, making ten appearances and scoring twice- and then started the 21-22 season in the Pitching In Isthmian Premier with Merstham, making three appearances. He then moved over to South Park, and played twenty eight times, scoring three goals, before a loan spell at Haywards Heath Town.

At the start of the 23-24 season he moved permanently to Raynes Park Vale, making thirty four appearances in his first campaign and another twenty five, with one goal, last season. He moved to Basingstoke from Vale in February 2025.
