Dolan, Mfula, Erskine and Clarke settle in by the sea
Robbie Dolan, Warren Mfula, Callum Erskine and Kesna Clarke arrive at Hastings United
We're catching up with transfer news from the opening days of the campaign, and Hastings United unveiled four new faces.
Robbie Dolan was with Hythe Town last season, and the centre back also played for Lydd Town. Brother of United manager Ronnie, he was previously an Isthmian with Folkestone Invicta and also spent time with Ashford United and Kennington.
Warren Mfula has been deadly in front of goal wherever he has played. His forty six appearances for Sevenoaks Town last season brought twenty goals, and he scored twenty nine in forty one appearances during 24-25.
He played for Sheppey United as they won promotion to our ranks and won trophy after trophy during 21-22, and then scored twenty eight goals in thirty six appearances before a bad tempered departure to Faversham Town in the summer of 2023. He got fifteen goals for Town that season.
He was previously with Croydon Athletic, where he scored forty four goals during the 16-17 season, which earned him a move to Dartford. He scored twenty goals for Corinthian-Casuals, then in our Premier Division, during 2018-19 and another eight in seven appearances for Burgess Hill Town at the start of the 19-20 campaign. He also spent time with Cray Valley PM.
Callum Erskine comes in from Gillingham, but you might remember him from a spell with Lancing at the end of the 24-25 campaign, and, of course, from his time with Lewes last season. He played for the Under 18 squad at the Dripping Pan and made half a dozen appearances for the first team before being snapped up by the Gills after a trial, departing for Priestfield just before Christmas last year.
Kesna Clarke spent some time at VCD Athletic last season, and went on to play for Larkfield and New Hythe, scoring fifteen goals in twenty four appearances as they reached the SCEFL Premier Play Off Semi-Final.
Forward Kesna moved to Vickers from Fisher, where he scored three times in seven appearances last season. That followed eighteen in thirty two during the 24-25 season- and indeed he was part of the Fisher side which lost in the Play Off Final against…VCD Athletic.
He previously played for SC Thamesmead, SE Dons, and for then-Isthmian clubs Haywards Heath Town and Tooting & Mitcham United.
