Finlay Lovatt and Marcel Campbell are new arrivals at East Grinstead Town
East Grinstead Town have announced a pair of new arrivals.
Forward Finlay Lovatt won't be a new name to watchers of our league. he spent time at Beckenham Town last season, playing nine times and scoring two goals, after starting the campaign with Dulwich Hamlet, playing three times. He joined Hamlet after departing Bromley, and during 22-23 had loan spells at Corinthian-Casuals and Walton & Hersham.
He ended the 21-22 season on loan at Merstham, making twelve appearances and scoring two goals, and prior to that was on loan at Bognor Regis Town, where he made five appearances and scored a crucial goal in a win over Corinthian-Casuals.
In the early part of the season he spent a short time at Chipstead- but afterwards became part of the first team squad at his National League side, and made his first team debut against Rotherham United in the First Round of the FA Cup. He also had a loan spell in National League South, at Billericay Town.
He joined Bromley's youth setup after being a youth at Leyton Orient.
Midfielder Marcel Campbell came through the youth setup at AFC Wimbledon, and indeed only left the Dons last month. He has been our way before, as he had a loan spell at South Park Reigate during 22-23, scoring three goals in his nine appearances. Last season saw him spend some time on loan at Harrow Borough, but of course they were a Southern League club at that point.
