Dulwich boss departs
Hakan Hayrettin leaves Dulwich Hamlet
Dulwich Hamlet have announced the departure of manager Hakan Hayrettin. In a short statement, the club explained:
'The club board has taken the decision to terminate the contract of manager Hakan Hayrettin and his management team with immediate effect.
A further statement will be issued in due course but we would like to thank Hak and his team for the service to the club and wish them success in the future.'
Hakan was appointed manager at Champion Hill in March 2023, and his side put up a spirited but ultimately unsuccessful fight to retain their National League South status. Hamlet finished last season in eleventh place in Pitching In isthmian Premier, and they currently sit in fifteenth, six points clear of the drop zone and twelve points away from the top five after a run of one win from eleven matches.
Prior to his time at Hamlet, Hak had a successful spell in charge of Maidstone United. He has also managed Braintree Town, Grays Athletic, Thurrock and Waltham Forest.
