Edwards for the Wands
Charlie Edwards is the latest arrival at Cray Wanderers
Cray Wanderers have announced the signing of midfielder Charlie Edwards.
Charlie ended last season at Potters Bar Town, joining just before the transfer window slammed shut and managing nine appearances before the season did the same.
He was previously with Canvey Island, who he joined in November 2022, and he made thirty three appearances- with three goals- last season, following thirty one- and five goals- during 22-23. He also spent some of the 22-23 campaign with Corinthian-Casuals, playing ten times, after joining them in the closing stages of the previous campaign.
His spell at Potters Bar was his second period with the club, and he was previously with Wingate and Finchley, Harlow Town and Hertford Town, as well as Waltham Abbey, where he played for part of the 2018-19 and all of the 2019-20 campaigns. As a side note, the 2018 FA Cup Final ball had his name on it, in celebration of a goal he scored in a replay against Grays Athletic for Hertford Town!
