Essex Kouassi
Evans Kouassi heads to Bowers and Pitsea
Friday saw the announcement that Folkestone Invicta's Evans Kouassi was back in Essex, as he signed a loan deal with Bowers and Pitsea.
Evans joined Invicta in the summer, and has made twelve appearances, scoring four goals.
Evans was previously with Canvey Island. He missed most of last season through injury, but became something of a legend in four years at the Gulls. He scored five goals in the nineteen matches he managed last season, but that followed an impressive twenty four as the Gulls reached the Premier Play Off Semi Final in 22-23, and thirty one in forty seven matches as they won North Division promotion via the Play Offs in 21-22. His first season at Canvey was the very short 20-21 campaign, where he had three goals before the world closed down once more.
Prior to the Gulls Evans managed ten goals for Heybridge Swifts during the unfinished 19-20 season, his second spell with the club- after returning in March 2019 after a short but productive period with Mildenhall Town. He was a big part of Swifts success in the 2018-19 playoffs, success which sadly turned out to be futile given the FA's decision to not promote all playoff winners. He previously played for Wealdstone, Bishop's Stortford, Hayes and Yeading, Chelmsford City and at Concord Rangers.
